I am a Lecturer in Physiotherapy at Â鶹Éçmadou, a position I have held since November 2019. I also work part-time as an MSK Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner at East Lothian Community Hospital, where I provide contemporary musculoskeletal care, conduct complex assessments in primary care triage clinics and MSK injections. Lead service development initiatives, including establishing new vestibular assessment clinics and in-service training for staff development.
I graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from MDU, Rohtak, India, in 2009, gaining broad rotational experience in a large multi-speciality teaching hospital. After relocating to Scotland, I completed my MSc in Physiotherapy at Â鶹Éçmadou in 2011. My post-registration master's focused on research, clinical measurements, quality management, and enhancing clinical practice.
Throughout my career, I have worked in private clinics and across diverse NHS settings, including intermediate care services, community rehabilitation, and specialist musculoskeletal outpatient departments. Prior to my lecturing role, I worked as an MSK Specialist Physiotherapist and Rotational Spinal Advanced Practitioner with NHS Lothian, developing advanced skills in spinal assessment and triage for the neurosurgical unit. I have also gained experience in private practice, completing specialised training in gait analysis using OPTI-GAIT and VICON systems.
In June 2024, I co-founded ORYNX, a healthcare technology company developing artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to improve patient care. This builds on my previous entrepreneurial experience co-founding PodoQuick Podiatry Solutions Ltd and Walkable Ltd, where I developed patented functional orthotics for foot problems.
I am passionate about person-centred care and the therapeutic alliance. My specialist clinical interests include musculoskeletal rehabilitation, foot and gait biomechanics, and vestibular disorders.

My research focuses on evidence-based practice in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, with particular emphasis on clinical decision-making, gait biomechanics, and service evaluation. I am interested in the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes. I have published research on diagnostic approaches in MSK conditions and have been awarded funding for AI applications in healthcare.
